Elina Saalfeld is a finnish-german artist. In her research-based and interdisciplinary practice, she examines the relationship of memory and nostalgia. She draws inspiration from personal histories – often finding herself in a tension between the private and public. Saalfeld is part of the Young Valley Soil-collective alongside Cristina Rüesch, Francisca Markus and Elisa Nessler.
